Message from the Principal

Welcome to Notre Dame Catholic School!

A newspaper reporter once wrote, “Notre Dame Catholic School can’t boast about its playing fields, modern buildings, or even adequate parking. It can boast about faith-based education, a sense of family, and high academic standards.”

“Why Catholic Schools .”As a parent, you have the choice of sending your children to a variety of schools, public and private. Why would Notre Dame be the ideal place for your child to obtain an education? Simply put, Notre Dame provides excellence in education, guidance and a spiritual foundation that will help your child as they continue in their education and throughout life.

At Notre Dame, we strive for academic excellence with a standard-based curriculum that meets Catholic values. In addition to top-notch academics in reading, writing, math, science, social studies, and religion, our students participate in music, art, and physical education as part of their regular curriculum. We encourage students to work hard and embrace their role in their families and society while we help to develop the whole child.

Notre Dame is a private, co-educational Catholic school offering instruction to students from Transitional Kindergarten through eighth grade.

It is open to children of all religious, social, and economic backgrounds. All Catholic schools in the Diocese of Sacramento undergo a process of self-evaluation every five years. Notre Dame is a Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA) and Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) fully accredited school.

I appreciate your interest in Catholic education and Notre Dame School. For more information, visit our website, ndschico.org, or schedule a visit.

We look forward to you becoming a part of the Notre Dame Family!

Peace and Blessings,

Mrs. Marci Johnson
Principal: Notre Dame Catholic School

Philosophy Statement

We recognize the family as the prime educators of their children. Encouraged and supported by the students' families and also by others who comprise our community of faith, Notre Dame School serves to create a Catholic Christian Atmosphere in which each individual child is nurtured to achieve her/his full potential. Our primary goal is to guide our students toward an understanding that learning is a lifelong progress. The center of this is to live a JOYful life; knowing, loving, and serving Jesus. Others and Yourself.
